The Catholic Charitable Bureau of the Archdiocese of Boston is seeking a full-time Business Manager to provide support to our Laboure Office located in South Boston and periodic travel to our program in Brockton. .  The Business Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the Community/Division Business Office and supervision of the fiscal office staff.  The Business Manager is a liaison with the Central Office Finance Department and the Community Service Center Director for all business/fiscal matters while maintaining professional and confidentiality boundaries.  The essential functions include; supervision and support to the Accounting Assistant for productivity, employee relations, coaching and maintenance of leave records;  responsible for the transmittal of all accounting work via a “batch” system to the Central Office and Finance Department, including accounts payables, billing and account receivables, cash receipts, general ledger entries, and purchase orders, and the use of monthly reconciliation of pretty cash funds; conduct monthly and year-end closing procedures at the Central office location; review and maintain copies of all monthly and annual financial reports provided by Central Office and all accounting records at the community/division office; responsible for all contract billing and maintenance of contract files (state, federal, private agencies etc.).  Coordinate the flow of information from Program Directors to enable billing to be completed on a timely and accurate basis; maintain contract utilization schedules; assist the Community/Division Directors in the preparation of the annual budget, contract and grant budget proposals, United Way proposal and other reports as necessary; act as a liaison with auditors from funding sources such as State agencies or with our annual audit firm when field work is performed at the Community division office; perform other fiscal duties and projects as requested by the Controller and/or the Community/Division Director.  Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in business or accounting, MBA a plus.  A minimum of two to three years experience in a comparable business office and experience managing a small business staff desired.  Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills, and the interest and ability to present to groups of various sizes and provide budget analysis as needed. Knowledge of Great Plains Accounting software and FRX Forecaster are essential.  A Massachusetts driver’s license and access to a vehicle for travel to various agency programs will be required.
