The Catholic Charitable Bureau of the Archdiocese of Boston is seeking a full-time Account Manager to support the division of Refugee and Immigration Services while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and respect.  The Account Manager is responsible for sales of interpreter and translation services offered by Community Interpreter Services (CIS), a social enterprise of Catholic Charities.  Develop sales strategy to increase sales and industry market share.  Meet financial revenue goals as set forth by management.  Supervise Account Manager.  Participate in quality control and customer satisfaction initiatives and attend networking, conferences, and industry trade shows some of which may be after standard business hours or on weekends. 

The essential functions include; ensure that the activities of this position and relevant programs are consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Charitable Bureau Archdiocese of Boston Refugee and Immigration Services. Prepare sales strategy plan by building on financial goals set forth in the CIS business plan. Plan must include verifiable market research, demographic data on number of limited English speakers in the Commonwealth, advertising budget, and other components as agreed upon by management team.  Develop materials and negotiate rates to ensure the vitality of the program. Increase net revenue year over year by a minimum of 5%.  Increase gross revenue by a minimum of 10% year over year. Increase sales to existing customers that have been identified as having potential for growth. Identify untapped markets to sell interpreter and translation services throughout the Commonwealth and into surrounding areas. Engage in new customer contracts or Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).  Work with Operations Manager to execute contracts/MOU. Renegotiate contract renewals or amendments with existing customers. Sell interpreter and translation services to a minimum of 10 new customers per quarter with a minimum sale revenue of $250 per each new customer.  Engage in customer satisfaction activities to retain customers and immediately address any concerns of customers.  Contact all new customers within 24 hours/1 business day after completion of interpreter assignment to gauge satisfaction with CIS. Increase gross revenue by 25% within 12 months of start date. Respond to unsolicited inquiries about CIS from potential new customers.  Represent CIS at various trade and industry conferences, customer networking events or other related public engagements. Recruit, hire, train and supervise Account Manager based in Central and Western MA.  Provide performance feedback and complete performance appraisal as required. Work with operations manager or designee on all creative media for marketing and advertising campaigns, both on-line and print collateral.  Ensure materials are current at all times.  Update web content on external CIS website as relevant and to attract customers via internet. Train new and existing customers on Global Interpreter Platform (GIP).  Encourage large volume customers to utilize GIP. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and forecast reports. Assist with annual budget preparation as related to setting revenue goals for new fiscal year. Other responsibilities as assigned. 

Qualifications include a Master in Business Administration (MBA) degree with concentration in sales.  A minimum of three years of proven sales/marketing experience. Results oriented individual with a positive and engaging approach. Expertise in professional writing, editing and customer service skills. Ability to function in fast-paced cross-cultural environment.  Proven computer skills including Microsoft Office,  Adobe and software for creating print materials.  Early morning, late evening and weekend work required on regular basis.  A valid MA driver’s license and travel throughout the Commonwealth of MA with own vehicle is required.  We offer an attractive benefits package, a congenial work environment.
