Catholic Charities Community Services program located at the central office in South Boston, seeks a part-time Resident Services Coordinator to join its team of dedicated professionals. The position is: 17. 5 hours per week.
The Resident Coordinator provides referral and services coordination to elderly, handicapped and disabled tenants in three Boston Housing Authority sites in South Boston; West 9th Street, Foley and Monsignor Powers. The Resident Service Coordinator will maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPPA regulations. The Resident Coordinator will provide Case Management services to resident identified by the development manager and design and implement strategies to address the specific needs of these residents. The Resident Coordinator will also provide assistance to individual residents seeking to access government programs such as SNAP and Mass Health. .
Qualifications include a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree. MSW preferred.
Minimum of 2 years experience in working with elders in a social service setting.
Skilled at evaluations and referral of residents in need of mental health assistance.
Knowledge of state, city and local resources relevant to elders.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Computer knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office.
An interest in working with individuals of all backgrounds while maintaining client confidentiality.
Ability to take initiative and to work independently.
A valid driver’s license is required.
Preference given to resident of BHA properties.
