Thank you for your generous support of last week’s special collection to benefit Catholic Charities. Catholic Charities' programs serve the poor and working poor in your community with dignity and compassion. The collection supported families as they struggle to put food on the table, secure child care for their children and seek out better opportunities through education. Last year alone, Catholic Charities served over 200,000 of your neighbors across the Archdiocese. At Catholic Charities, we strive to help people become self-sufficient. We could not help those in need without your generosity. Thank you again for your support. It is never too late to join Catholic Charities in its mission to care for the neediest among us.
At Catholic Charities, we don't ask if you're Catholic—
We ask if you're hungry.
- At our food pantries, where we once provided about 5,000 pounds of food in a month— we now provide about 12,000 pounds in a week.
- A gift of $50 will help us provide food for two families of four for a week.
- Education programs that once focused on basic language skills now include specialized job training, certification preparation and job-search techniques.
- A gift of $100 will help us purchase training materials and offer scholarships to help with testing fees.
- Today many of those we serve are working individuals struggling to make ends meet and to make a better life for themselves and their families.
- A gift of $500 will help us provide job skills training, stock our food pantries shelves and lead your neighbors to become self-sufficient.
