Dear Representative/Senator:
Thank you for supporting funding addiction prevention treatment at $60,880,159 for the DPH/Bureau of Substance Abuse Services (line item 4512-0200) and for step-down services at $5,000,000 (line item 4512-0201) for FY2007. This level of investment coupled with the pending FY2006 Supplemental Budget will open up the doors of recovery to many who are now denied access to treatment.
We are encouraged by the commitment of the Legislature to addressing the epidemic of alcoholism and other addictions by investing in addiction treatment and prevention.
Thank you for your commitment to a stronger and more effective response to this epidemic.
Sincerely,
Coalition to Increase Access to Addiction Treatment
