“The news of the massacre of more than 50 people and too many more injured in an Orlando, Florida night club over the weekend has left the Nation and our community here at Catholic Charities shaken and deeply saddened. We extend our deepest condolences and prayers to the victims, their families and friends and pray that these acts of terror on innocent people end. Whether violence is far away or close to home, like last week’s tragic killing of a 17 year old boy at the Jeremiah Burke High School in Boston, it reverberates in our daily lives.
