Vice President for Programs

Catholic Charities founded in 1903 remains among the largest and well respected social service agency with programs and offices located in Boston and the greater Boston area.

The Catholic Charitable Bureau of the Archdiocese of Boston, Inc. seeks a Vice President for Programs.

The Vice President is responsible for actively overseeing all Catholic Charities programs and services. As a member of the Senior Management Team, the Vice President will work closely with departments within the administrative office and programs and services throughout the agency. The Vice President is responsible for the oversight of division directors and community centers and will be an active member at board and community meetings. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to representation to state agencies and other funding sources.

A Graduate degree in Social Services, Education or related field is required; ten years of progressive management experience in human services or related industry is necessary. Expert knowledge of family services, education and training as well as child welfare and community service. Confidence with public speaking and an understanding of government policy and regulations is desired. Superb financial skills and hands on knowledge of budgeting processes are essential. Community Service Center Director

The Catholic Charities Haitian Multi-Service Center in Dorchester prepares and assists immigrants in their struggle for social and economic self-sufficiency in America. The Center promotes community development through a "Haitians-serving-Haitians" model in a culturally and linguistically familiar environment. In 1984, the Haitian Multi-Service Center joined Catholic Charities. Today, this Multi-Service Center is the largest social service agency serving the Haitian population in Greater Boston. The center serves families from the Greater Boston metropolitan area. We are currently searching for an experienced Community Service Center Director to provide leadership for our Haitian Multi-Service Center. The selected individual will be responsible for programs and services including program development, quality assurance, budget preparation and monitoring of financial statements, oversight and monitoring of public contracts, supervision of program director staff, oversight of agency and Catholic Charities policy and procedures, and employee supervision. The Community Service Center Director is responsible for fundraising and development activities as well as the responsibilities of coordinating the Haiti disaster response for CCAB. The candidate will work closely with the HMSC Advisory Board on budget, finance, and program matters and any other areas of concern to the Board. The director will also serve as a liaison to the Haitian and broader communities as a representative of Catholic Charities. A Graduate degree in Social Services, Education or related field is required. The candidate must possess seven to ten years postgraduate experience in human services or education, with five years of supervisory and/or administrative experience. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team; knowledge of family services, alternative education, child welfare and/or community services, potential to develop fundraising skills in both the public and private sector. Development Associate

Catholic Charities Central Office in Boston seeks a full time Development Associate. The Development Associate is responsible for the general support of the Development Department and is a member of the External Relations Department Team. The role of the Development Associate is to provide information, support and services to help achieve goals and support our mission. This position has significant responsibilities in the areas of general administrative support including data and gift entry to ensure that all cash, check, credit card, stock donations, pledges and gift in kind are accurately recorded in Raiser's Edge. This position also provides the primary administrative support, record keeping and reporting related to all Central Office events. The candidate is required to have a Bachelor degree and a minimum of two to three years of development experience, strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks accurately, a valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook along with attention to detail is necessary. Familiarity with Raiser's Edge, or similar database is preferred, must be able to work independently and part as a team, must be comfortable working with staff at all levels, and willingness to be flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities. Mentor Program Coordinator

Catholic Charities Labouré Center a neighborhood based, multi-service agency seeks a full time Program Coordinator to run a one to one community based mentoring program that matches youth 10-16 years old with adult volunteers for a minimum of a 1-year relationship. The Coordinator with the assistance of an AmeriCorps volunteer, recruits, screens, trains, and supports adult volunteers in their relationships with young teens; recruits, screens, and prepares the youth; monitors the relationships and troubleshoots around issues that arise; and plans group activities for the matches. The Coordinator also participates in designing and carrying program evaluation activities with the support of consultants. We are seeking an energetic individual with conversational linguistic capacity with Spanish, who has a Bachelors degree in human services plus experience with youth prevention programs; strong organizational and writing skills and ability to speak in front of groups. Refugee and Immigration Service Supervising Immigration Attorney

Catholic Charities Labouré Center in South Boston seeks a RIS Supervising Attorney to manage the legal operations of a large non-profit immigration and refugee division. The candidate will represent clients before EOIR and with US CIS. Supervise casework of attorneys and BIA accredited representatives, train and mentor immigration staff, oversee administrative aspects of program and develop and oversee community outreach and educational activities. The candidate must be authorized to practice law in the state of Massachusetts and have five years experience in the practice of immigration law, focus area in family, VAWA, naturalization preferred. Minimum three years supervisory experience of attorneys and/or BIA accredited representatives in non-profit legal setting. Have a commitment to public interest law, strong administrative skills, including computer literacy. Bilingual ability preferred and ability to work some Saturdays and evenings as needed.
