As a community service site of Catholic Charities, Archdiocese of Boston, Merrimack Valley Catholic Charities helps 42,000 people in need from Lowell, Lawrence, Haverhill, and surrounding communities each year. To target this ethnically diverse area, a wide range of services is offered including Basic Needs Services including emergency food, fuel, rent, and utility assistance; young parents programs; a program for grandparents serving as parents; a Latino outreach program; and a residential program for pregnant and parenting teens.
