Nazareth Child Care Center operates full-day, full-year child care facility. We are open 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Our classrooms are carefully planned environments that enable children to explore, experiment, and create their own understanding of the world they encounter. Nazareth Child Care Center provides breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack with an appropriate beverage for all children who can eat table foods.
Nazareth accepts vouchers from the Department of Transitional Assistance. A limited number of subsidized slots from the Department of Early Education and Care are available.
Nazareth Child Care Center is licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

Our Infant/Toddler Program consists of three classrooms. Our infant room is licensed for 7 children ages 4 weeks-2.9 years. We have two full-time teachers and one assistant teacher working in this classroom. The daily schedule is set-up to accommodate the needs of the individual children. Activities to encourage muscle development for sitting, crawling, and walking are a big part of each day. The children also are given the opportunity to participate in singing, listening to stories, and messy activities. Children play outside on a daily basis, weather permitting.
We have two toddler classrooms, each with two full-time staff members. Our toddlers love circle time, art activities, and sensory play. They also spend time outside each day, weather permitting. Our goals for our toddlers is to encourage their social abilities so they can function in a group setting and to foster their independence so they are able to eat by themselves, use the bathroom, and dress themselves.
Nazareth has two pre-school rooms with two full-time teachers in each room. Both classrooms are set up in learning centers so the children can choose areas that represent their interests. Our learning centers include arts and crafts, blocks, science, math, reading, and writing. Each area has a variety of choices which can accommodate individuals, small groups, and large groups of children. Children are encouraged to learn and grow at their own pace. The daily schedule is flexible as to meet the needs of each individual child. Each classroom develops a weekly curriculum based on a monthly theme.
Our Kindergarten Program is full-day to accommodate the needs of working parents. We offer a variety of activities for the children to accommodate their learning styles. Teachers work with parents and children to assess their needs and help them transition to elementary school. The teachers of this group get excited (as do the children) when the children learn how to write their own names, learn their address, or are able to tell when they are having a birthday just by looking at a calendar.
The School-Age Program is open to those children who attend elementary school during the day but need a structured environment after their school day is finished. Many of the parents have obligations that extend beyond the regular school day and want their children to be supervised until the parent/guardian is able to do so. The School-Age Program is set up with many different age appropriate learning centers for the children to work and play. Children are encouraged to reinforce what they learn at school in practical and enjoyable ways.
