We serve a culturally diverse population of over 1,100 infants, toddlers, preschool, kindergarten, and school age children each year.
Children are learning all of the time, through their contacts with the people and things around them, and through their own natural curiosity. Catholic Charities Child Care programs are designed to meet the growing needs of the individual children while also meeting service needs of our families by providing child care that is flexible in hours, is reasonably priced, and meets the parents’ needs for their children.
All of our centers are enlightened by the National Association for the Education of Young Children(NAEYC) and the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). At Catholic Charities, many of our family based child care sites are accredited by the National Association of Family Child Care.
Catholic Charities Child Care curriculum is based on the development of the whole child. A child’s emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development is interrelated and activities are designed to stimulate growth in all areas. The curriculum is taught by educated, caring, professional staff at our seven child care locations in Dorchester, Jamaica Plain, Lynn, Malden, Peabody, and South Boston. Catholic Charities also offers Home-based Family Child Care. Family child care with the same high quality curriculum and care in a home-like settings in Cambridge, Everett, Malden, Medford, and Somerville as well as Beverly, Danvers, Lynn, Peabody, and Salem.
