You’re a young parent. And even though you’ve been reminded how young you are, you know in your heart that you can be a great parent. While many of our programs at Catholic Charities differ in services or clientele, they all share one common goal: to strengthen and preserve the family. At Catholic Charities, we recognize that families are different and we embrace them through specialized programming focusedon fathers and mothers; one or two parent families and serve those of all faiths.
Healthy Families provides a free home visiting program for first-time young parents. A home visitor will get to know you and your baby and will help you build your parenting skills, answer questions you may not feel comfortable asking others and will work with you and your family to strengthen relationships. The program is voluntary and home visits can be arranged at a time that will be convenient for you. With a Healthy Families Home Visitor by your side, you can find the support and information that will help you become the parent you want to be. Catholic Charities is proud to work with Children's Trust and the Massachusetts Home Visiting Initiative to offer Healthy Families at our centers in Dorchester, Lynn and Haverhill.
