The Driver Alcohol Education Program (DAE) is a 16-week program designed for individuals who have been arrested for driving under the influence. The program provides an educational opportunity for clients to examine their alcohol and/or drug use and abuse, the consequences of drinking and driving, and methods of avoiding future offenses. The program includes an initial assessment to assure appropriate placement; attendance at group sessions, self-help meetings, and a victim impact forum; and an exit evaluation. Participants must also attend self-help groups in addition to attending MADD meetings to understand the potential impact of driving under the influence.
The Driver Alcohol Education Program is a program of Catholic Charities South. For more information, call 508-587-0815.
