Social Worker

Lowell

We are currently seeking a full-time Social Worker for the Brigid’s Crossing residential program located in located in Lowell.

 

The Social Worker is responsible for coordinating all aspects of each resident’s clinical and social service needs while living at Brigid’s Crossing. This includes individual and group therapy, medical and ancillary services and other referrals to appropriate agencies. Must have good organizational skills to maintain all appropriate documentation required by the Department of Children and Families (DCF). The Social Worker must be able to handle situational crisis in the program or out in the community and understand Adolescent Development and trauma informed care.

 

Qualifications include:

  • A bachelor’s degree in social work from an accredited education institution.
  • Three to five years supervised social work experience in child welfare setting.
  • Applicant must be licensed/license eligible in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Knowledge of Adolescent Development and the effects of trauma on development.
  • Knowledge of residential social services helpful.
  • Attention to detail with excellent written documentation, organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience providing clinical services and/or treatment to children and families assessments, diagnostic evaluations, counseling, individual treatment plans and educational groups.
  • Training in the attachment regulation and competency (ARC) model preference.
  • Experience with conflict resolution and crisis prevention.
  • Must have the ability to work a varied rotating schedule including nights, weekend and holidays.
  • CPR and first aid required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and other spread sheet applications.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally as needed.
  • Bilingual/Bi-cultural preferred.
