In The Pilot: Welcoming our Afghan Brothers and Sisters

In the coming weeks and months, Catholic Charities of Boston anticipates welcoming and resettling at least 100 Afghani individuals and families who are fleeing unimaginable danger in their homeland.
CCAB staff members are working around the clock to secure affordable housing for these new community members and are partnering with other local organizations to raise the funding and community support necessary to set these families up for success upon their arrival in Greater Boston. Marjean Perhot, Vice President of Catholic Charities of Boston’s Refugee and Immigrant Services division, recently shared how Catholic Charities is preparing to welcome our new neighbors and how others can get involved to support these efforts.
