Catholic Charities Advancement department office located in Braintree, seeks a full-time Advancement Officer to join its team of dedicated professionals.
The Advancement Officer is responsible for overseeing the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of approximately 125 prospects and identifying and qualifying new prospects each month.
The Advancement Officer will be required to solicit 6-8 prospects per month in an effort to raise revenue. Recruit, manage and support all regional volunteers’ development activities. Apply annual giving prospect management strategies to annual giving donors and utilize direct mail, phone, email or volunteers for solicitations or cultivation of prospects as appropriate.
Qualification include Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of prior experience working in development and fundraising.
Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
Detail oriented and organized with competent multi-tasking skills.
Good presentation and the interest and ability to speak to small and large groups of people
Ability to take responsibility and work independently and as a member of a larger team.
Competent public speaking and facilitation skills.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Competent computer and typing skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Excel and Raiser's Edge.
A Massachusetts driver’s license and reliable vehicle for local travel.
