International Women’s Day
March 8, 2019
International Women’s Day offers an opportunity to acknowledge and admire the work of women all over the world. We pause to look at achievements and to look to the future. Women’s History Month allows for celebration of the impact of all of the women who have come before us, and the path they paved that we continue to journey down today. However, we don’t need a day or a month to see the affect women have on this community, this nation, and this world.
At Catholic Charities, we employ women, we encourage women, we empower women, and we serve women, every single day. Women who are excelling in their careers, leading and providing for their families, and seeking to advance our community. I am proud to lead this organization of dedicated professionals, and proud to support the families in our community.
In 2018, Catholic Charities was, once again, recognized as a Top 100 Women-Led Business in Boston by The Commonwealth Institute. This honor does not only assess the senior leadership of an organization; it evaluates the impact women have on every aspect of an organization, and so for that incredible impact, I thank you.
It is my privilege to work alongside all of you, both men and women, who continue to work for equality throughout our communities.
Thank you, as always, for all that you do.
