On Thursday, February 27, Catholic Charities was honored to hear from Sister Norma Pimentel, Executive Director of Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley, and Mohamad Ali, President and CEO of IDG.
Moderated by Tiziana Dearing, Radio Boston host, the audience was captivated by the first-hand experiences shared by our speakers.
Speaking about immigration from the perspectives of someone who's been through the process, and from someone who gives aide to those making the journey to America, Mohamad and Sister Norma gave light to the heartwrenching struggles that often go unnoticed by many Americans today. Both speakers touched on the topics of giving back, helping those around us who are most in need, making a difference by coming together as a community to find ways to give back that work best for us, and also by voting.
