We are currently seeking a full-time IT Instructor to work at the Laboure Center in South Boston location.
IT Instructor will prepare adult immigrant learners for a career as an IT User Support Technician. El Centro serves immigrant students of diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds who seek to advance their careers or prepare for successful studies in college and vocational training programs.
The position includes teaching Information Technology coursework to prepare students for industry certification (COMPTIA+); coach students to academic success; develop and update the course curriculum and materials; instruct students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
Hybrid instruction (on site/remote). On-site classes 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This is grant-funded position until July 2023, with the opportunity to be renewed.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Technology or a related field; or a combination of education and work experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of practical work experience in the IT industry is preferred.
- COMPTIA A+ certification preferred.
- The ability to work and interact effectively with individuals and groups with diverse identities, cultures, backgrounds, and ideologies.
