We are currently seeking full-time Manager of Special Events and Donor Relations to work at the Pastoral Center in Braintree.

The Manager of Special Events and Donor Relations works closely with donors, agency leadership and volunteers to influence the growth of the donor base fundraising revenue through the skillful and precise organization of donor engagement vehicles such as special events, stewardship and leadership societies.

The Manager of Special Events and Donor Relations will create the annual operating plan for Catholic Charities’ events (cultivation, fundraising and stewardship) and design a holistic donor experience to increase overall satisfaction and loyalty.

Qualifications include:

  • A bachelor's degree in business, marketing or communications field. Prior experience recruiting and managing committees.
  • 3-5 years of experience in advancement/development marketing/annual giving.
  • Superior written and verbal communications skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills along with demonstrated computer, technology, and research skills.
  • A genuine interest in human services, particularly in relation to anti-poverty issues.
  • Keen attention to detail and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and fundraising database software, preferably Raiser’s Edge. Experience with the use of Zoom and other electronic meeting platforms.
  • Ability to function independently and as part of a team in a time sensitive environment.
  • Access to transportation for regional travel.
  • Availability to work some nights and weekends as needed for special events
