South of Boston

Catholic Charities South, a community service center of Catholic Charities, Archdiocese of Boston, is a vital community resource offering a continuum of care including basic needs assistance at our food pantry, family support services, youth mentoring, adult education including English, and nursing assistant training classes, and elder outreach. Annually, Catholic Charities South serves more than 24,000 children, adults and families from more than 30 cities and towns in Norfolk and Plymouth Counties.

The programs at Catholic Charities South strive to prevent hunger and homelessness for local families in a financial emergency; engage residents in education and employment programs focused on long term solutions to poverty; provide inner-city youth the opportunity to go to summer camp; and support families in their effort to build safe, nurturing environments as they follow their own path back to self sufficiency.
