In following the policies and procedures for reopening our Sunset Point Camp, every child must complete a pre-screening questionnaire before they are admitted into camp. To streamline this process and ensure everyone is accounted for, please complete and submit this questionnaire daily.
Thank you for your cooperation as we work to maintain a safe and healthy environment for all campers and staff during these difficult times.
All staff members must complete a daily questionnaire, as well. Please click below if you are a Sunset Point Camp staff member:
If the answer to any of these questions is "Yes," please call your supervisor.
SUMMER 2021 UPDATE: Sunset Point Camp will open this summer as a DAY CAMP ONLY. With the significant challenges posed by the pandemic, operating Sunset Point Camp as an overnight summer camp is not feasible. However, we are pleased to offer week-long day camp sessions to our community.
Day camp will run Monday through Friday from 9am-4pm with 25 campers per week. Transportation will be provided to and from camp daily from either Brockton or Dorchester. We provide two meals a day with snacks and water too. We will conduct daily COVID screenings for all campers and staff.
June 21: pre-camp for all staff
June 28: first week day camp session
Please watch this space for additional updates.
About Sunset Point Camp
For over 100 years, Sunset Point Camp has provided a seashore camp experience to over 40,000 low-income, at-risk children aged 6-13 from Greater Boston and the South Shore without regard for their race, nationality, or religious affiliation. City-based boys and girls will travel to Hull, Massachusetts this summer for a week of camp, letting them enjoy the fresh air, learn new talents, receive academic summer support and simply have fun.
A Whole Week to be a Kid
Campers are supervised and coached by a Camp Director, Program Director, kitchen staff, life guards, and nurses as they enjoy swimming, kayaking, paddle boats, arts and crafts, sports, theater and other recreational activities. In addition, they are involved in a variety of programs designed around life-building skills promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and good health, while cultivating a sense of leadership, self-discipline and self-esteem. For a registration fee of just $25 per camper, a child receives transportation to and from camp, three meals a day and snacks, overnight accommodation in the boys or girls bunkhouse, a full spectrum of recreational activities, and bus transportation during the week to Nantasket Beach and other locations.
