Ride for Food
Catholic Charities is proud to join forces with Three Squares New England and other local hunger-relief partners in the 2025 Ride for Food fundraiser. This event aims to raise money and awareness about food insecurity. The goal is a future where no one in our community—especially children—go hungry.
If you are interested, we would welcome you to join our team by registering to walk or ride alongside us. Together, we can take meaningful steps to end hunger in our communities.

Winter Walk Boston
WinterWalk Boston is an event that is hosted every year to raise awareness about homelessness and much needed funds to help those who struggle with housing insecurity. The event features a 2 mile walk around Boston during the coldest month of the year. Participants, housed and unhoused, will walk shoulder to shoulder and then share a meal together and hear stories from those with lived experience of homelessness. Check back for more information.

Labouré Spring Reception
Catholic Charities Boston’s annual Labouré Spring Reception is a longstanding tradition in the South Boston community which raises money for the Labouré Center’s vital programs. Each year, an individual or group who has shown exceptional dedication and service to the Labouré Center and the Boston community is presented with the Jack Shaughnessy Service Award, established in memory of the late well-known Catholic philanthropist, Jack Shaughnessy.

Catholic Charities Spring Celebration
Since 2007, Catholic Charities Boston’s annual Spring Celebration Gala has raised essential funds for the agency’s areas of greatest need and served as an opportunity to highlight individuals who exemplify Catholic Charities’ values of charity, compassion, and service with the John and Virginia Kaneb Justice and Compassion Award. The Justice and Compassion award is named after the late John Kaneb, a beloved former Catholic Charities Boston Board member, and his wife, Virginia, to commemorate their decades of generous support of the agency.
