Making Spirits Bright for Catholic Charities South Family

When Creative World in Easton reached out to Catholic Charities employee Ivana Correia-Veiga for a family to sponsor this holiday season, the staff at Catholic Charities South in Brockton knew just who to select.

Mr. Alcide is a single father of an 8 year-old son and 15 year-old daughter. His wife passed away while they were in the process of moving to the United States from Haiti and Alcide has raised them on his own ever since. Both children attended Sunset Point Camp in Hull this past summer and Alcide is currently enrolled in Catholic Charities English Transcultural Center (ETC) ESOL program in Brockton to advance his English in order to provide a better life for this family.

ETC Case Manager Addy Navarro helped Alcide create a “wish list” and Creative World went above and beyond to donate items. Thank you to all who helped make this Christmas one to remember for the Alcide family.
