Order of Malta Presents Donation to Catholic Charities in Honor of Cardinal’s Anniversary
In honor of Cardinal Sean O’Malley’s 20th anniversary as Archbishop of Boston, the Boston Area Order of Malta presented Catholic Charities Boston with a generous financial gift of $10,000 in support of refugee and immigrant services. Board Chair Mark Kerwin and CEO Kevin M. MacKenzie joined Cardinal Séan in accepting the donation.
Catholic Charities resettles refugees from around the world who flee from forced displacement, extreme violence, and war with no other place to go. They arrive in the United States in search of safe and better lives and are eager to contribute and give back to the country that gave them refuge.
The donation was presented at the American Association of the Order of Malta’s Mass on Wednesday, September 13th.
