Beth Chambers, Vice President of Basic Needs, was a guest on Morning Rush where she spoke about Catholic Charities Boston’s response to the critical housing crisis in Massachusetts, including opening the Catholic Charities Inn (CCI), an emergency shelter that is home to approximately 140 people.
Beth said Catholic Charities staff have been working tirelessly on everything from assisting residents with work authorization paperwork to offering vaccinations to helping enroll young residents in school.
“What we are seeing every day are people we want to help and people who want to be helped but also want to be able to take that step into independence to support their families and work in the communities around us,” said Beth.
